After two years away from the stage, the Rochester Gay Men’s Chorus is happy to say, “We’re Back!” Much has happened in the world since our last appearance at Hochstein in December 2019 and the chorus has made many changes. Our planned March 2020 concert, Elton, was postponed, not once but twice, and two other concerts were cancelled altogether. Many non-profit organizations have disappeared and many for-profit businesses have gone out of business. The RGMC has weathered the worse and we are ready to welcome you back.
Our 2021 – 2022 concert season will be both fun and exciting while expressing gratitude and hope. Our season opens with Holly-Lujah on Saturday, December 4th and Sunday, December 5th featuring some of your favorite holiday selections that highlight the season. They say, “Third time’s a charm,” and on Saturday, March 19th and Sunday, March 20th we finally present Elton! Enjoy an evening of some of your favorite songs by Elton John, and you may even sing along with one or two, or more. Our season ends on Saturday, July 9th as we celebrate pride with ROC’N Rainbow. We hope our music builds bridges in the Rochester community and our special guests will help us embrace our mission. All of our concerts will be held at Hochstein Performance Hall and will follow all Covid guidelines in place at the time of the concert.
Our Chorus Members have been hard at work since early September learning and rehearsing music. They take great pride in providing the community with quality entertainment, but we need your support to continue on our journey.
